This old trader’s
adage is one wise investors know and heed. Identifying and taking advantage of
the primary trend of the market is the only avenue to becoming a successful
long term investor. The bad news for
most investors is that for many months now that trend has been down. Regular readers of this newsletter are well
aware of this, as we have been forecasting an equity market correction for
months. The downtrend to the market has
been clear and consistent. Some short
term rallies have occurred, but generally, we have been in a downtrend since
early March. The solace we offer to
clients and friends alike is that the movements we see and have seen these last
